After receiving her Bachelors Degree in English from UNC Chapel Hill Sienna Shute shifted her focus to a more hands-on career to help fulfill

her deep-rooted desire to create. She graduated from Haywood Community College in the Professional Crafts Program in Clay 2020. She has been the Clay Coordinator at the John C. Campbell Folk School since 2022. Sienna enjoys working with clay as a material because of its endless forms and direct connection to the earth we walk on every day.
